Indications: treatment of depression. Treatment of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.

Usage and dosage: Oral, can be taken with food.

Dosage:

1. Depression

1 time a day. The usual dose is 10 mg per day, and the maximum daily dose can be increased to 20 mg according to the patient’s individual response. The antidepressant effect can usually be obtained in 2 to 4 weeks. After the symptoms are relieved, the treatment should be continued for at least 6 months to consolidate the effect.

2. Panic disorder with or without agoraphobia

1 time a day. The recommended starting dose is 5 mg per day, which will be increased to 10 mg per day after one week. According to the patient's individual response, the dose can continue to increase to the maximum dose of 20 mg per day. The best effect can be obtained after treatment for about 3 months. The course of treatment generally lasts for several months.

3. Elderly patients (>65 years old)

It is recommended to start treatment with half of the above-mentioned conventional starting dose (5 mg), and the maximum daily dose should not exceed 10 mg.

4. Children and adolescents (<18 years old)

This product is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

5. People with reduced renal function

There is no need to adjust the dose for patients with mild to moderate renal function decline, and use with caution in patients with severe renal function decline (CLCR<30ml/min).

6. People with reduced liver function

The recommended starting dose is 5 mg per day for 2 weeks of continuous treatment. According to the patient's individual response, the dose can be increased to 10 mg per day. It is recommended that patients with severely reduced liver function should pay attention and be particularly cautious in increasing the dose.

7. Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) slow metabolizers

For patients with known slow metabolism of CYP2C19, it is recommended that the starting dose is 5 mg per day and the treatment lasts for 2 weeks. According to the individual response of the patient, the dose can be increased to 10 mg per day.

8. Stop the drug

Abrupt discontinuation of the drug should be avoided. When it is necessary to stop the treatment of this product, the dose should be gradually reduced within 1 to 2 weeks to avoid withdrawal symptoms. The safety of doses above 20 mg per day has not been confirmed.
